Krimps are the Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! equivalent of Donkey Kong Country's Klaptraps and Donkey Kong Country 2's Klampons. They are fully vulnerable on the back side (unlike the Klampon and Klaptrap) and on the top, but if hit from the front, they will reconcile with a swift bite. They get faster as the game progresses, which makes them harder to avoid or defeat. Even though Kobbles are the basic soldier of the Kremlings in Donkey Kong Country 3, Krimps outnumber them greatly. Krimps also make an appearance in Donkey Kong Land III with no additional changes.

Trivia
- According to the game's credits, Krimps belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.
- The Krimp bears a small resemblance to Donkey Kong 64's Big Klaptrap. They're both purple, but the Big Klaptraps are much stronger.
