Knik-Knaks (also known as Niknak) are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and later in Donkey Kong Land III. They are beetle like enemies that replace Click-Clacks and Flitters from the game, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
[edit] Description
They appears in two different colors, yellow and red, the later can fly. Yellow Knik-knaks play a important role in the battle against Belcha in Belchas's Barn. Belcha burps out Wooden Barrels. By jumping on the barrel, a yellow Knik-Knak will come out. Kongs must throw Knik-knak once to get it on its back. It can then be used as a projectile. Kongs must throw Knik-knak into Belcha's mouth when it's open and Belcha will do a large burp, pushing him back.
In Donkey Kong Land III, Niknaks only come in the red variety.
