The Game Boy Color

The Game Boy Color was the successor to the Game Boy, and predecessor of the Game Boy Advance. The Game Boy Color featured backwards compatibility with all Game Boy games, and had its own selection of titles. Game Boy Color games were not compatible with previous systems, such as the Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Super Game Boy. The Game Boy Color was capable of taking games for the original Game Boy, and displaying them with a choice of color palette.

The Game Boy Color was compatible with the various Donkey Kong games already released (Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Land Series).
