"All of my brothers are scattered across these islands, pop in and say hello if you meet them on your travels."

The Brothers Bear are a family of bears who reside in the Northern Kremisphere.

The Brothers Bears debut in Donkey Kong Country 3. Each of them have their own establishment, a unique personality and in-game role, which varies from giving items to unlocking an area's Banana Bird Cave. They most often try to either help Dixie and Kiddy Kong on their journey, or ask them a favor in exchange for a Banana Bird. There are 13 Brothers Bears in-game (14 in the Game Boy Advance re-release).

The Brothers Bears all reside in the same type of cabin, which only differs by color scheme and small cosmetics. As of the Game Boy Advance version, each of their cabins are completely redesigned and vary in appearance from each other.

The Brothers Bears all have a unique personality. Each of their names are either a pun or derived from a word. In either instance, their names are based on their personality or in-game role.

Only one Brothers Bear appears in Donkey Kong Land III, Bear. He runs the Sheepy Shop, where he offers variety of services: a card game, in-game advice, or teleportation to already-visited worlds.
