Arich hangs from a thread of web, and to defeat him, [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] and [[Kiddy Kong]] must throw [[Barrel]]s at his jaw. Arich's attacks consist of bouncing slowly up and down in an attempt to crush the [[Kong]]s, and shooting bouncing green balls of venom. He must be hit in the jaw four times to be defeated. It's easier to hit Arich with Dixie because she holds the barrel over her head with her ponytail.

Arich is a giant red spider who appears as a boss in both Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. Its name comes from the word "arachnid", which is a classification term used to describe spiders.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!Edit

Arich is the second boss of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, appearing at the end of Kremwood Forest in the boss stage, Arich's Ambush. Its name is featured in the world's secret cave, Arich's Hoard. During the boss fight, Arich is hanging from a thread of web, and to attack it, Dixie and Kiddy Kong must ram a Barrel into its jaw. Arich's attacks consist of bouncing up and down slowly in an attempt to crush the Kongs, and by spitting out bouncing green balls of venom. Arich is defeated when the Kongs hit its jaw four times. Upon being defeated, Arich falls over onto its back and drops the patch, which Funky Kong uses to construct the Hover Craft at Funky's Rentals.

The secret cave in Kremwood Forest is named "Arich's Hoard". This name may either imply that Arich kept a Banana Bird in captivity at King K. Rool's request, or that this cave was used by Arich as a larder until K. Rool commandeered it in order to trap a Banana Bird.

In the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 3, Arich has a different battle theme than the other bosses. It shares this theme with Kroctopus.
