Screaming Pillars are a new type of enemy introduced in Donkey Kong Country Returns. Screaming Pillars are a unique type of enemy. They also appear in Mario Kart 3DS in the level DK Jungle.

Summary

The Pillars normally just remain still where they are placed, taking a nap. The Pillars are simply rock pillars with facial features. When Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong walk by however, it will awake, scream, and then collapse. That is it's only means of damage; if the Kongs are quiet the Pillar will not even try to attack. Upon falling, it cannot get back up.
