Rocketbarrel Barrage
Rocketbarrel Barrage is Diddy Kong's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. It is based on his Rocketbarrel Boost ability from Donkey Kong 64. By activating the move, Diddy puts on his Rocketbarrel Pack, takes out his Peanut Popguns, and starts flying around the stage. The player can control Diddy's flight and press an attack button for Diddy to launch peanuts, though he automatically fires a peanut every few seconds. While using Rocketbarrel Barrage, Diddy can damage opponents by ramming into them. Diddy can KO himself if he flies outside the blast lines, unlike similar Final Smashes like Super Sonic and Charizard's Mega Evolution. When the attack ends, Diddy Kong's Rocketbarrel Pack explodes and flies off in random directions. Before it explodes, Diddy Kong flashes as an indicator of such. Upon exploding, Diddy is flung slightly in the air and is put in a helpless state: such does not occur in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. The peanuts left over from the attack can be used to recover a small amount of health.
