During the events of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble Kobbles can be easily defeated by any type of attack, and although they look somewhat strongly built, they are not a real threat. Despite being the generic soldier-type, Kobbles were very uncommon in the game (they only appeared in the levels, Lakeside Limbo, Kreeping Klasps, and Tidal Trouble).
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Kobbles only appear in three boardwalk levels, Lakeside Limbo, Tidal Trouble, and Kreeping Klasps. In the Game Boy Advance version, Kobbles make a higher-pitched voice when defeated, similarly to Kritters and Klomps in the remakes of the first two Donkey Kong Country games. In this game Kobbles behaved identically to the way they did in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, although in this game they were a far more common enemy, and due to limitations were black and white and made a slight drone noise when defeated instead of the regular Kremling cry of defeat.
In Donkey Kong Land III, Kobbles act identically as in the previous game. Kobbles appear in many more levels, and in more types of environments than boardwalks. They appear in 18 levels, as follows:

Oddly, at the end a Kobble is seen in Dixie Kong's Photo Album in a Mill despite never appearing in one in the game.

Trivia
*According to the game's credits, Kobbles belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.
*Unlike their Kritter cousins, Kobbles do not wear clothing of any kind (except for the ring that pierces their lower lips)
*Skidda, another member of the Kremlings, bears an exact resemblance to Kobble, being pink and resides in snowy areas though.

Kobbles are basic Kremling enemies which first appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! They are the successor to Kritters and Klomps from Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest respectively. Kobbles have a green body, a light green underbelly, and a lip piercing. They have a purple counterpart named Skidda, which appears in some snow levels.

History[edit]

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble![edit]

In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Kobbles only appear in three boardwalk levels, Lakeside Limbo, Tidal Trouble, and Kreeping Klasps. Like most enemies, Kobbles walk back and forth in a pattern, and Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong can defeat them by using any attack. Later on, in Dixie Kong's Photo Album, a photograph of Kobble appears under the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class; this photograph shows a Kobble in a mill area despite not appearing in any such levels.

In the Game Boy Advance version, Kobbles make a higher-pitched voice when defeated, similarly to Kritters and Klomps in the remakes of the first two Donkey Kong Country games. Kobbles are even less common than before, as the only one of Tidal Trouble had not been retained for this version.

Donkey Kong Land III[edit]

In Donkey Kong Land III, Kobbles act identically as in the previous game. Kobbles appear in many more levels, and in more types of environments than boardwalks. They appear in 18 levels, as follows:
