'''Kuchukas''' are a type of [[Kremling]] that hides in a purple barrel filled with [[bomb]]s. They appear as enemies in ''[[Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!]]'' and ''[[Donkey Kong Land III]]''. Their barrel design resembles that of [[Knocka]]s, [[Kracka]]s, and [[Klasp]]s. Like these enemies, Kuchukas are never fully shown except for their purple arms and eyelids, which match the color of their barrel.


'''Kuchukas''' are members of the [[Kremling Krew]] encountered in the games ''[[Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble]]'' and ''[[Donkey Kong Land III]]''. Kuchukas resemble [[Knocka]]s and [[Klasp]]s, but have purple arms. They also reside inside of purple barrels filled with bombs, as opposed to green or red ones. Also, unlike Knockas who charge into the Kongs, Kuchukas remain stationary in their barrel and constantly hurl bombs outward. Kuchukas cannot be defeated in any way and can only be avoided, making them the only type of barrel that cannot be picked up. According to the game's credits, Kuchukas belong to the "[[Kremling Kreeps]]" enemy class.
Kuchukas have the same name in Japanese. The "chuck" in their name references how they continually throw bombs.

Kuchukas are a type of Kremling that hides in a purple barrel filled with bombs. They appear as enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. Their barrel design resembles that of Knockas, Krackas, and Klasps. Like these enemies, Kuchukas are never fully shown except for their purple arms and eyelids, which match the color of their barrel.

Kuchukas have the same name in Japanese. The "chuck" in their name references how they continually throw bombs.

History

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Kuchukas only appear in one level: Pot Hole Panic. Kuchukas behave differently from Knockas as they remain stationary inside a barrel without moving and continuously attempt to throw bombs at the Kongs and their Animal Friends. They cannot be picked up and can only be defeated by a TNT Barrel. A Kuchuka also appears in a Bonus Level of Pot Hole Panic, where it tries to prevent the Kongs and Squitter from collecting the green bananas.

In Dixie Kong's Photo Album, a Kuchuka is categorized under the Kremling Kreeps class.

Donkey Kong Land III

In Donkey Kong Land III, Kuchukas appear in more levels than their previous appearance. A single Kuchuka appears at the very end of Stalagmite Frights, and they appear in most levels of the Lost World: a bonus stage in Whiplash Dash, Kuchuka Karnage, Haunted Hollows, and Ghoulish Grotto.
