A '''Bristles''' is an enemy in the game ''[[Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble]]'' and it's pseudo-sequel, ''[[Donkey Kong Land III]]''. These small hedgehogs replace [[Spiny (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|Spinies]] from ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]''. They are mostly found in waterfall levels (such as [[Tracker Barrel Trek]]) and jungle levels (such as [[Konveyor Rope Klash]]). Since they are hedgehogs, their quills are harmful, and they cannot be jumped on. According to the game's credits, Bristles belong to the "[[Terrorfirma Tuff Guys]]" enemy class.

To defeat one, [[Dixie Kong]] or [[Kiddy Kong]] must make an attack on the front of the hedgehog while the baddie is walking forward, as the rear and top are very prickly. Also, unlike the Spinies, Bristles are actually immune to the Kongs' team up attacks, since throwing Dixie or Kiddy at one would result in injury.

Bristles are orange hedgehog enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. They have spiky quills that injure Dixie and Kiddy Kong when touched. As such, they are considered equivalent to Spinies from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. According to Dixie Kong's Photo Album, Bristles are categorized under the "Terrorfirma Tuff Guys" enemy class.
