Because most of the level is dark, Ellie does not get scared of Sneeks unless they are shown underneath a spotlight. If Ellie approaches a Sneek under a spotlight, she gets scared and runs a short distance away. Ellie can only pass a Sneek in a spotlight if she picks up a nearby barrel and throws it at the enemy.
Squeals on Wheels is the second level where Sneeks have a major appearance. In the level, each Sneek is running in a large, wooden mill. Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong can only pass through a nearby gate if they defeat the Sneek corresponding to it. The Kongs can only defeat these Sneeks by throwing a Steel Keg at them. Every Sneek must be defeated for the final door to open.
The third level is Stampede Sprint, which also revolves around Ellie's fear of them. Near the start of the level, Ellie sees three Sneeks, which gives her a big scare. As a result, Ellie stampedes away for most of the level.
