Ghost Barrel
A Ghost Barrel is a type of Barrel Cannon introduced in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and returning in Donkey Kong Land III. Ghost barrels in Donkey Kong Country 3 were very rare and only featured in one level, Creepy Caverns of KAOS Kore. They appear much more common in Donkey Kong Land 3 as they are featured in every cave level.
Ghost Barrels act somewhat like barrel cannons but with a twist; per the "ghost" name, Ghost Barrels tend to reappear and disappear suddenly during a level. Ghost barrels always return and disappear in the same spot, though for some Ghost Barrels, with every reappearance, they aim in a different direction. This makes them very tricky because their patterns are quick and a misfire often leads directly into an enemy (usually Buzz) or a wall.
