Super Kong
Super Kong is a character similar to Donkey Kong that appears in the Wii game, Donkey Kong Country Returns. Super Kong only appears in the Super Guide mode and his role is very similar to the Super Guide seen in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. If the player loses eight lives in a level, a Tutorial Pig will appear and ask Donkey Kong if he would like to activate the Super Guide. If the player says yes, then Super Kong will appear and complete the level for him.
While Super Kong travels throughout the level towards the goal, anything that he collects like bananas or other items will not be counted towards the player's total. It should also be noted that he will not access any of the secret paths that will lead him into the hidden parts of the level such as Bonus Levels.
All of his powers and abilities appear to be the same as Donkey Kong's abilities, including his Power, Speed, Defense, and Stamina.
Physical Appearance
Super Kong is an ape that looks almost exactly like Donkey Kong, except with a few differences. Instead of having brown fur like Donkey Kong, he instead has fur that is white. He also has a blue tie instead of a red one like his counterpart.
Trivia
- In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of Donkey Kong's color schemes is almost identical to Super Kong, with the exception of the color of their ties with Donkey Kong's being red, and Super Kong's being blue. Super Kong also resembles Eddie the Mean Old Yeti.
- Super Kong also has the ability to get Diddy Kong. He looks very similar to Super Kong.
- Super Kong looks a lot like Fire Mini Donkey Kong. This might be where they got the idea.
