Template:Level Stampede Sprint is the thirty-sixth level in the third game to the popular Donkey Kong Country series, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. It is also the first area of Krematoa. In the game's Game Boy Advance remake, it is instead the forty-second level of the game.

For most of this level, the Kongs will be playing as Ellie the Elephant. Near Ellie's barrel is Parry the Parallel Bird, who needs to be guided through the level. Once the monkeys turn into Ellie, the elephant will come across three Sneeks, who will send her running across the level out of control. If the player can guide Ellie, as well as Parry to the end of the level without dying, the No Animal Sign will turn the bird into a one-chance Bonus Barrel. However, this is anything but easy, and may take several tries to pull off successfully. Squawks and Squitter can be found in this level as well, but they won't get too far in the actual level. In addition to the Sneeks, enemies here include Bristles, Buzzes, Kuff 'n' Klout (in their debut) and Krimps.

Secrets

Bonus Levels

  • As soon as the level begins, the heroes should use their Team-up move and throw a monkey, preferably Dixie, into the above hidden Bonus Barrel. The barrel will take them to a Bonus Level, where they will need to turn into Squitter and use webs platforms to collect green bananas over a small abyss. Once enough green bananas are collected, a Bonus Coin will appear at the other end of the gap.
  • Just before the level's first DK Barrel, the Kongs should use their Team-up move again and throw a monkey into the above hidden Bonus Barrel. Once they are taken to a Bonus Level with it, they will have to ride on Squawks after breaking his crate. They will then need to control the parrot to grab several green bananas around two red Buzzes. After enough bananas are obtained, a Bonus Coin will appear nearby.
  • After the group makes their way past the No Animal Sign for Perry, the bird will turn into a Bonus Barrel. Ellie the Elephant should get in the barrel and enter a Bonus Level. There, she will need to collect many green bananas. Many of these bananas will too high to reach, so she will need the help of Perry to get them. Once enough green bananas are collected, a Bonus Coin will appear.

DK Coin

  • At the end of the level, Ellie will cross the No Animal Sign to turn herself back into the Kongs. For getting so far into the level with her, they will be awarded with one steel barrel. They should carry this barrel to the nearby Koin, who will have the DK Coin, and stand on his shield. The enemy's shield will protect him from most attacks, but while the Koin holds his shield against the heroes, the barrel, that they should throw, will bounce off of a wall and hit the enemy in his side. This will defeat the Kremling, thus giving them the DK Coin.

Trivia

  • The Super Nintendo version of Stampede Sprint features the generic "Hot Pursuit" music for the entire stage, while the Game Boy Advance version features its own unique music, which is only heard while playing as Ellie.
