K3 is a large frigid mountain ventured through by Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong during the events of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.
K3, like any tall mountain, is covered in snow and ice and constantly wracked by blizzards and snow storms. Due to the large amount of ice, sledding seems to be one of the many ways to travel K3. The elusive Lemguins also make use of all the ice, as they slide on their bellies to travel on it.
Along with its large snow fields, K3 also has many rocky cliffs and crevices, some of which the Kongs had to scale on their adventure. The area also has a large waterfall running through it, that somewhat strangely has barrels raining down from it. At the top of the waterfall is a factory where Kremlings have relocated following KAOS's defeat in Mekanos,[1] guarded by an enemy named Kroc.
The area seems to be a somewhat of a minor vacation spot due to the many cabins seen in it, both in the levels and in the background of the mountains' pine forests.
The aptly named Blizzard Bear is found in a cabin in K3; the Kongs can do him a favor by delivering a gift for him. The area's boss, an evil snowman named Bleak, is found in a nearby snowfield to the north-east of the area. Oddly, this snowfield actually looks like it is frowning.
K3's Banana Bird Cave is located to the north-western tip of the area; it is only accessible on a secret path to the west of Blizzard's Basecamp.

Trivia
- K3's name either comes from K2, the Earth's second highest mountain, or Broad Peak, the twelfth highest mountain formerly known as "K-3". Either way, such a namesake may have been chosen due to the fact that it includes the letter "K", a Kremling reference ubiquitous in Donkey Kong franchise names.
