Ba-Boom[edit]

Any relation between Ba-Boom and the other Kongs is unconfirmed, so adding information (especially with words like "maybe" and "likely") like this is speculation and should be avoided. You can the information back if you have a source to back up your claims. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:05, 15 April 2018 (EDT)

Grammar[edit]

Are you perhaps using Google translate to make edits? Because the wording of your edits tends to look really weird. Anyways, if English is not a language you are good at, try getting better at it before making large edits, OK? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:52, 19 April 2018 (EDT)

Minor edits[edit]

For small coding fixes like this, please remember to mark them as minor by ticking the "This is a minor edit" checkbox above the "Save page" button. You also don't need to bold subsection headers, as they're already in bold. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:07, 19 May 2018 (EDT)

Please stop forgetting to mark small edits as minor on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Small edits like these should have the "This is a minor edit" checkbox ticked. There have been a number of times where you've forgotten, so please remember next time. A recommendation would be to check over your information with the "Show preview" button first before saving, rather than making multiple tweak edits afterwards. File:Kremling Krew emblem.png[edit]

Hi, can I ask where you got this from? The source you provided links to another file page to another wiki which you yourself uploaded. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:59, 11 June 2018 (EDT)

That means it's fan-made and needs to be deleted, because that model is custom. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:57, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
If you'd like, you can keep the image as a personal image by tagging it with ChristopherPAraujo; however, it must be used on your userpage or a signature if you wish to create one. Otherwise, it will be deleted, as fan-made content like this is not allowed on mainspace. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:10, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (adding custom/modified images to mainspace) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Do not add fan-created or modified images, yours or anyone else's, to mainspace, as you've already been reminded. The DK logo has already been deleted once before for this reason, so that doesn't mean it should be uploaded again. Please only upload official images. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:50, 20 June 2018 (EDT)

It was an image that you took from the model's texture, which had the letters spaced far apart, or cropped from an image of the model itself, and made modifications to. Even edits as small as merging them together are prohibited. If you're going to upload a DK logo, it must be an official, unmodified version. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:42, 20 June 2018 (EDT)

RE: Giant Spider[edit]

Your reference was the Player's Guide, not the official Prima strategy guide you linked me. Although the Player's Guide does show what you're referring to on the same page number (see here), but as I said on the talk page, it's only a phrase, as in "to smite the spider" ("smite" meaning to strike down), not its name, like "Smite the Spider." Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:25, 16 June 2018 (EDT)

Capitalisation[edit]

Please don't capitalise headings unless the word is a proper noun. Thanks. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:00, 23 June 2018 (EDT)

K Lumsy[edit]

Stop adding the "Last Warning" heading to the quotes page. What K Lumsy says isn't a warning, and directly follows up on his previous lines (after DK says "yes") and not a separate interaction.

It also helps to add an empty line before a heading for clarity. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:39, 7 July 2018 (EDT)

Re:References[edit]

In-game references typically aren't needed unless it's obscure; typically, things like guides, manuals, or other such things use references. LinkTheLefty (talk) 00:23, 29 July 2018 (EDT)

RE: Music[edit]

You're going to need to provide timestamps for the songs to prove your point. I know the songs; I'm just not hearing the similarities you mentioned. You say the stages' music "briefly riffs" Stickerbrush Symphony/Rockface Rumble and One-Winged Angel, respectively, but there are no similar notes between them.

For Skowl's theme in particular, its similarity to "One-Winged Angel" is merely a coincidence. Whether or not it's intentionally "riffing" that song is unconfirmed. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:24, 23 August 2018 (EDT)

Re: Speculation[edit]

Where did that bit about Cranky Kong's great-grandfather being the start of the family come from? Just because he's the earliest known doesn't mean he started it. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:40, 31 August 2018 (EDT)

DK64 quotes[edit]

While they're quotes from the game, you seem to be making a few spelling errors and confusing the periods with commas and vice versa (they appear slightly different in-game if you look more carefully). If you want, there's a text dump of the in-game text you can use as reference. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:50, 11 October 2018 (EDT)

RE: Brothers Bear[edit]

You tagged "Bears" with a reference, which means you're backing up this specific detail with evidence. It's very obvious they're bears, so we don't need a reference saying that they are. Not every piece of information needs a reference, just ones that are obscure, as LinkTheLefty explained to you above. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:44, 21 October 2018 (EDT)

Linking back to this, please stop adding references to information that doesn't need them (like obvious and in-game details), or references that explain nothing about what you're tagging them next to. If you just want to add descriptions, add them under a "Profiles" section, similar to other enemy articles like Fire Stalking Piranha Plant.

Profiles
*Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! Player's Guide description: "Description here"

Articles[edit]

You tend to leave out articles quite often when you write. Remember to include "a" and "the" when necessary in sentences. "The" is used when referring to a specific thing, "a" for a non-specific thing.

e.g.

and in minigame Krazy Kong Klamor when light is on.

and in the minigame Krazy Kong Klamor when the light is on.

or

and in a minigame called Krazy Kong Klamor when the light is on.

Quote2[edit]

Just FYI, if you have to link both the name and source here, you don't need to use quote2; just use quote (without the square brackets). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 02:53, 2 December 2018 (EST)

Categories[edit]

Hello, ChristopherPAraujo. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Please remember to add the appropriate image categories to your uploads rather than removing uncategorized altogether. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 18:59, 10 December 2018 (EST)

References[edit]

You're adding a lot of information that oftentimes isn't mentioned anywhere in or has nothing to do with your sources. Please only add it if the source explicitly says it (or at the very least the implication is clear). Don't look too deep into them or make assumptions, as this can be considered speculation. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:46, 6 January 2019 (EST)

Didn't notice until now but "most" as Mark said here is not "all" as you said in this edit. Please do not put words into the source's mouth, and analyse your references carefully to ensure false information isn't spread. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:59, March 4, 2022 (EST)

RE: Crocodile Isle[edit]

Are you saying the SNES version starts from the left and the GBA version from the right? I've added the point that the maps are reversed in the main article, as the entire layout is mirrored. I'm able to help as best as I can, but please understand and be aware though that it's sometimes hard to interpret what you're trying to say, to the point where there's no choice but to remove the information outright.

(Just FYI too that it's spelled "trivia" and not "triva".) Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:56, 11 January 2019 (EST)

I've already incorporated it into the "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest / Donkey Kong Land 2" section, as I've told you. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:40, 11 January 2019 (EST)

Redirect links[edit]

Redirect links should be avoided. For the Animal Friends, please link to the full names (e.g. Rambi instead of simply Rambi). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:42, 30 January 2019 (EST)

RE: Permission[edit]

I don't see why not. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 06:34, 17 February 2019 (EST)

RE: Banana Balloons[edit]

I've already explained my reasoning in the deletion log. You used a .jpg from your source here and converted it to a .png, then applied edits to it, which goes against MarioWiki:Image use policy. If you wish to use the Banana Balloon artwork from that scan, it should be the original .jpg cropped square/rectangular with no modifications to the background. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:10, 23 February 2019 (EST)

DK64 renders[edit]

How are you getting those renders without backgrounds? Are you cropping them from screenshots of gameplay you take, or are they from outside of playing, like from the data? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:40, 27 February 2019 (EST)

OK, thanks for the answer. Are the screen size parameters the same as what an actual N64 would show? I suppose that ultimately doesn't matter for model rips, since going into first-person view brings things up close anyways... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:18, 1 March 2019 (EST)
I know how it is, I went through and got every last banana in the Wii U version (which removes some intended lag, making the races really hard). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:50, 1 March 2019 (EST)

SMO world map texture[edit]

As long as it hasn't been heavily modified or anything, it's fine. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:30, 5 March 2019 (EST)

RE: Jungle Japes[edit]

No, it says "shell game", which is an expression, and not to be taken literally. The paragraph itself calls it a beehive. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:04, March 11, 2019 (EDT)

RE: ogg[edit]

Audio files must be in .oga, not .ogg. They should also be 30 seconds or less. Samples of the DKC ones already exist, so please cut down the length for the M+KRB clip when you get the chance. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:19, March 28, 2019 (EDT)

RE: Kong Family's theme[edit]

That doesn't explicitly confirm anything, only the fact that he acknowledged your tweet. You came up with the names and associations yourself, which are unofficial and fall under speculation (I'm not sure how you made these connections, either, especially "Kong Family"). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:18, March 30, 2019 (EDT)

RE: Bowser's theme[edit]

Bowser's Castle (Second Time) from SMRPG is an arrangement of his theme in SMB3 (I've added that back in); however, Bowser's Castle 2 from SMO doesn't sound anything similar. It's an original song. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:51, April 6, 2019 (EDT)

JPG to PNG[edit]

Do not convert JPG images to PNG. By doing so, the size of File:DKL3 Pier.jpg went from 380 KB to over 2 MB. Please read MarioWiki:Image use policy again. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:59, April 9, 2019 (EDT)

DKC3[edit]

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! has an exclamation point in it. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 14:15, April 22, 2019 (EDT)

Remember the "!" in this title, it's part of the title and you're still occasionally forgetting it. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:00, January 28, 2022 (EST)

RE: Sea Breeze Cove[edit]

I never said it was speculation. It's not a completely low-elevation island or a ring surrounding a lagoon, it's a series of islands (an archipelago). Additionally, simply replacing "island" with "atoll" in the first sentence changes the meaning: saying "the fourth world and atoll" implies it's the fourth world and the fourth atoll, which is incorrect.

Also, please don't take this the wrong way when I say this, but your English could use some improvement. Obviously the wiki is a collaborative effort both in terms of helping the site and other editors, but at the same time it's also an English-language wiki, so if you're going to take on a lot of word-heavy content coming in, I'd recommend working on refining your English skills as well, since a lot of your edits involve adding information. Donkey Kong Country Returns Screenshots[edit]

  • Unfortunately, Donkey Kong Country Returns is not a friendly game to the Dolphin Emulator. Only certain revisions can properly support it, but I don't remember which revision I was using when setting up the game screenshots. RedYoshiMK7Signature.png M&SG (talk) 13:28, May 19, 2019 (EDT)

Character themes[edit]

Please stop associating certain themes to characters without any established connection between the two. While Bowser's final battle theme is named "King Bowser" and Count Bleck's theme is named "The Evil Count Bleck" (therefore they can be considered themes for them), the ones you added to Wario's page have never been established as themes for Wario, by name or otherwise. (If anything, it's possible they're the game's theme and not the character's.) I get that you like to think characters should have their own personal themes, but just keep that to yourself on your userpage or somewhere else, not on wiki articles. As I've already mentioned, this is considered speculation and can lead to a reminder if this happens again. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:14, July 20, 2019 (EDT)

As I've already stated, this doesn't prove they're "Wario's theme", just because they play in many parts of the games, when they could just be the Wario Land series theme. If there's evidence like an official soundtrack naming it "Wario's Theme" for example, then we can consider it.
That Wario Land 3 theme isn't the same theme either. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:50, August 14, 2019 (EDT)

Re:Tilesets[edit]

I don't know if posting someone else's tilesets is allowed. Can you not make an account? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:59, July 31, 2019 (EDT)

Go to the game you want to upload for (in this case DKC3) and hit the big green '+' at the top by the game icon. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:14, July 31, 2019 (EDT)
That's kinda like the autoconfirming thing on this site, I think. Wait a few days and it should work. Did you just make your account? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:53, July 31, 2019 (EDT)
Yeah, just wait a few days, it should work then. They do that to keep spammers away. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:27, August 1, 2019 (EDT)

Re:Twitter[edit]

A "like" is not a statement in itself, though that last example where Gregg Mayles has a written response is the type of thing that should be acceptable. LinkTheLefty (talk) 20:50, September 19, 2019 (EDT)

The truth is there are many reasons anyone can "like" a post, so it is not necessarily confirmation or denial. That aside, Klaptrap and Krimp have similar roles, but so do Zinger and Buzz, and Zinger isn't considered Buzz's parent species. LinkTheLefty (talk) 01:12, September 20, 2019 (EDT)

Bob Hoskins quote[edit]

No. This topic has been brought up many, many times and the answer is always the same. Our job as an encyclopedia is to present factual information as accurately as possible as it was in the source, so we don't censor information. Not only was that edit you made modifying the quote, ignoring the notice, and removing the notice unnecessary, that is not the tone you carry into your summaries. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:12, September 21, 2019 (EDT)

To summarize the rebuttals to these rehashed talking points, because this is literally another 'Why Video Game Site Say Bad Word' episode:
  • Accuracy takes priority over a shoddy pretense of respectability, as the slippery slope regarding overly selective censorship with specific has long been established and made clear. This "foul-mouthed public" you're invoking probably isn't even remotely concerned about a single wiki article, much less this vague and nondescript "respectful public" - and in any case it's not on us to do other people's jobs for them WRT monitoring children on the internet so they don't encounter such naughty language and possibly be inspired to commit Dirty Crimes™!
    • The implications of "it's fine to kowtow to public opinion and let it determine our boundaries as long as it's not this public opinion!" should speak for themselves.
  • Furthermore, it's not exactly conducive to productivity or debate, insofar as this arguably qualifies for one, to argue for respectability immediately after trying to enforce a personal opinion on the matter without any kind of prior discussion, especially when there's legitimately nothing to be gained, tangibly or otherwise, from taking this course of action and compromising our integrity over a matter that is genuinely of little note. If it wasn't made clear from the snark above: altering one single quote will have no real impact on what is a complex and long-standing social issue with regards to minors and internet access, and even in this particular scenario, far bigger fish exist up the established chain of responsibility and are readily accessible for frying.
  • Speaking of prior discussion: By the logic you've presented why should we be concerned about this "respectful public" when we've had no real public controversy of ANY kind over the matter to speak of? The most we get is all visible on the article's talk page, and this is following that same pattern - someone using this same exact flimsy logic every few years, taking personal offense to three words on a single page out of several thousands on this wiki, which would be all "fine and dandy" had they not decided to then try and make this personal problem everyone else's problem as well.

In short, you can see for yourself how it's gone each time and how it always comes back to the same heavily flawed argument. I highly doubt any NEW moves will be made in this song in dance - so I think it'd be wise to just drop the matter now. --ExdeathIcon.png Lord G. matters. ExdeathIcon.png 09:09, September 21, 2019 (EDT)

How is a site having its own rules "selfish?" It's just a noise and group of symbols with a tangentially-assigned meaning like literally every other word. Drop it now. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:56, September 21, 2019 (EDT)

That courtesy rule is there to prevent users from trying to censor content that they are too sensitive to handle. Basically, both rules go hand and hand with each other. As a wiki, we try to make our wiki as unbiased as possible, so not censoring content is preventing moral beliefs from being imposed. Which is what you are constantly trying to do. Allowing profanity isn't a lack of consideration for others: hearing profanity won't make you evil. Again, it's not selfish to have rules. Rules exist to prevent undesirable things from happening, such as content being censored. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 15:20, September 21, 2019 (EDT)
The only person being "indecent" here is you. Seriously, drop this at once. I've already said, a word is just a noise and jumble of symbols, and nothing to get all confrontational about. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:38, September 21, 2019 (EDT)
Seconding that. You're pulling out the standard "curse words are inherently immoral" spiel, along with a dash of "this generation is somehow the only generation with 'indecent' subjects in their media". The 1980s would like a word with you, they think Gen X doth protest too much. --ExdeathIcon.png Lord G. matters. ExdeathIcon.png 16:04, September 21, 2019 (EDT)

Warning[edit]

Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (continously editing other users' comments) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Please refrain from changing comments left by other users; it is a violation of policy to add to or remove from what others say on any talk page, and it has happened consistently enough recently that it does not seem to be an accident. Additionally, while only indirectly related to the warning, I'd like to confirm that the Bob Hoskins quote will be staying on the page - it's been discussed many times throughout the years and indirectly addressed on the censorship section of the courtesy policy, and our consensus was that it should remain as it is and uncensored for encyclopedic validity. I understand if it bothers you, but our decision about preserving it unedited has been final for a long time. - Turboo (talk) 17:27, September 21, 2019 (EDT)

Re: DKC GBA guide[edit]

I don't have the means of scanning the entire guide itself, but I can do pages. Which pages do you want scanned? Results May Vary (talk) 08:52, October 9, 2021 (EDT)

I'll see what I can do. When you say world pages, do you mean like the first page for Monkey Mines, Gorilla Glacier, etc? Results May Vary (talk) 20:21, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
I've scanned the enemy pages & they've been uploaded to pt.dkwiki.org. Results May Vary (talk) 20:54, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
Also, sadly the worlds don't have any profile sections like the DKC SNES guide does. It's just one page that says the level names and shows an screenshot map of the world. Results May Vary (talk) 20:58, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
Okay, sorry I just don't speak Portuguese, so I figured I'd leave you to add the image info template. On a side note, Crash Bandicoot Wiki has been going well -- it's got quite a bit of new pages recently, and the Crash Nitro Kart page was recently improved. The wiki is almost at 200 articles! I'm busy scanning the Vine Valley pages for you. Results May Vary (talk) 08:23, October 11, 2021 (EDT)

Yeah there is that option for sure, but like I said it would take a lot of time, so I asked which ones you were specifically looking for & provided those to you. Results May Vary (talk) 20:05, October 15, 2021 (EDT)

I just scanned the world and Wizpig pages, per your request. The second page of each world just show the other half of map with track names & their Silver Coin and Gold Balloon totals (which are already documented). Results May Vary (talk) 12:16, October 20, 2021 (EDT)

It isn't the easiest for me to get in contact with you, but if I were I would've notified you ahead of time. Results May Vary (talk) 09:01, December 10, 2021 (EST)
Just in case grifkuba doesn't approve DK Wiki PT, you can prob use Miraheze as like a temporary workaround. They even allow for custom urls to be added (and I still have dkwiki.org). Results May Vary (talk) 15:35, December 12, 2021 (EST)
Yes I will see what I can do. I never leave my friends behind :) Results May Vary (talk) 09:03, December 13, 2021 (EST)

Okay here it is: dkpt.miraheze.org. I'll see if I can assign dkwiki.org as a custom domain to it. Results May Vary (talk) 12:16, December 13, 2021 (EST)

Tweet images[edit]

If you're uploading these images, they need to be used, otherwise they'll be deleted. I don't see what use they'd have on mainspace anyway (this doesn't add anything much and was already removed, and this is not confirming what you said, he's just impressed by the thought put into your theory), so if you prefer to keep them as personal images, add them to your userpage. Moving files[edit]

Please mark the old file name with delete instead of only blanking the page after renaming. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 04:49, January 31, 2022 (EST)

Re: Player's guides[edit]

I'm not sure Results May Vary (talk) 21:34, January 31, 2022 (EST)

Re: DKC Player's guide in Japanese[edit]

let me go check. Results May Vary (talk) 12:56, February 4, 2022 (EST)

no it doesn't, sorry Results May Vary (talk) 15:36, February 4, 2022 (EST)

Reminder[edit]

Please stop adding useless references on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You were notified multiple times for this, and some of the ones you just added were even removed before. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:00, February 22, 2022 (EST)

The only extra reference you added was a quote from the manual, which still doesn't prove KAOS was created there. The part that needs a reference is KAOS; the Kremlings taking over is already obvious and doesn't need references. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:27, February 22, 2022 (EST)

re: DK Wiki[edit]

It has to do with maintenance, I'm pretty sure. Miraheze announced there would be maintenance earlier. Results May Vary (talk) 22:08, April 7, 2022 (EDT)

Twitter Rare[edit]

Hey, since you've asked things of RareWare people on Twitter before, I was wondering if you could ask some of the relevant DK64 staff if thisMedia:KrashDK64.png is Krash, thisMedia:Resident Demon.jpg is Kackle, and thisMedia:DK64 Roller Coaster.png is Klank's Roller Coaster, that would clear up a few things. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:04, April 16, 2022 (EDT)

Oh yeah, there were a number of things the RareWare people could clarify, huh? I'd also be curious if they can confirm if thisMedia:DK64 Seal.png is Clapper, thisMedia:DK64 Necky.png is Necky, and if they can clear up what happened with the "nephew" business (I'm almost positive this occurred because of a translation error and they soon tried to write it off as "nephew wannabe" but it would be nice to get definitive confirmation, especially for some stubborn circles). Possibly, it could be useful to have their names for things such as "Super Block", "Scubi", and (dare I say) "Kop". LinkTheLefty (talk) 13:48, April 16, 2022 (EDT)

Navigation templates[edit]

In addition to categories, make sure to add any appropriate navigation templates at the bottom above the categories (media nav for media list pages, then the game's navigation template, found at the bottom of the main game page). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:18, September 2, 2022 (EDT)

"Musics"[edit]

Don't pluralise uncountable nouns like "music". It should just be singular, or use "songs", "themes" etc. instead. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:17, December 6, 2022 (EST)

Singular/plural verbs[edit]

This seems to be a common mistake you're making but make sure you're using plural verbs for singular subjects, and singular verbs for plural subjects. For example, if there is one subject, it should be "When a Kasplat attacks" ("s" after the verb) and not "When a Kasplat attack" (verbs with no "s" are used if there is more than one: "When Kasplats attack"). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:00, December 28, 2022 (EST)

You're still doing this; phrases like "she lose" and "the player use a Feather" (one person, not multiple people) should have plural verbs ("she loses", "the player uses a Feather"). Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 10:41, July 8, 2023 (EDT)

RE: Templates[edit]

We already have Template:@, but next time please don't copy/paste code from another website without crediting them or start a new template page like this without discussion or permission first. As for the K. Rool clip, it's way too muffled to understand what he's saying. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:54, May 31, 2023 (EDT)

Sample audio[edit]

In the future, you should try to trim the sample audio to the part that the games actually use (or better, change the pitch to the game's version as well) for convenience, instead of uploading the entire sample track, or just upload the audio file from the game itself if available. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:41, June 18, 2023 (EDT)

@Mario jc Are you sure about it? Because I did not to sample or to pitch without evidence. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 12:10, June 19, 2023 (UTC)

Spelling[edit]

Please pay attention to the spelling when copying quotes from games and books. A common typo you keep making is "plataform", which should be "platform". Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 10:02, September 5, 2023 (EDT)

@Mario jc I don't remember this. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 22:44, September 6, 2023 (UTC)

RE: Template:@[edit]

No, I didn't get any notifications. Regarding the Klump clip, it's hard to make out what he's saying other than "Stop this thing!" at the end there. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:25, September 11, 2023 (EDT)

RE: Japanese translation[edit]

Hadn't got around to it, sorry for the late response:

  • Kloak: 「空中から、いろんなものを投げてくる。何を出すかは、会ってからのお楽しみ?」 "Throws various things for you from mid-air. Are you looking forward to what comes out after meeting it?"
  • Kackle: 「背後霊のようにせまってくる。時間をかせいで逃げきろう。」 "Approaches you like a guardian angel. Let's buy time and get away from it."

Using files[edit]

Please use your images as soon as you upload them. You've uploaded a number of files that you never included to any pages, and they won't serve any purpose or be as visible to other people if they're unused. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:43, November 10, 2023 (EST)

RE: Kloak and Kackle[edit]

None of these profiles provide any backstories. But I mean, don't their appearances already suggest they were pirates when they "died"? Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:52, November 16, 2023 (EST)

RE: Japanese[edit]

I currently don't have the time to go through the whole two pages; I'd suggest asking someone else who is more proficient at Japanese to translate all of this. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:16, November 17, 2023 (EST)

Personal images[edit]

Personal-image.png

You currently have too many personal images.

Users are limited to a maximum of five personal images, which can be used on your user page and/or for a signature on talk pages (see the personal image policy for details). Please select the personal images you would like to keep and mark all others for deletion using the delete template. If you have not relinquished your extra images within one week of receiving this notice, five images will be selected for retention at random, and the rest will be deleted. If you continue uploading more images and exceeding the limit, then a warning will be issued.

Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 09:01, December 5, 2023 (EST)

You weren't warned before because you were at the allowed limit until just recently. And you still have the images with you on your computer surely, it's not like you'll lose them forever. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:39, December 6, 2023 (EST)

Warning[edit]

Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (adding unsubstantiated information with poor references) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Several times in the past you've gone ahead adding something that wasn't confirmed or putting words into the source's mouth. Not only did you not even wait for a response from me, Smith was not involved in Returns and therefore could not have come up with that story, and it's likely they were just going along with your theory. You need to understand that sometimes developers will try to indulge you by saying "sure" or liking your post without necessarily confirming what you said is true.
