They are the weakest member of the Chomp family, and can be defeated with basic attacks such as [[jump]]ing or throwing a [[barrel]] at them. Shooting Chomps[1] are a variety of Chomp which first appear in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns. They are yellow carnivorous plant enemies with holes on their bodies. Their first appearance is in the second level of the Forest world, Clingy Swingy.

Shooting Chomps attack by shooting spores out of its various holes, and the spores can damage the Kongs. They are the weakest member of the Chomp family, and can be defeated with basic attacks such as jumping or throwing a barrel at them. If a shooting Chomp is on the ceiling, it can only be defeated by a barrel.
