Kroctopus is always partially submerged underwater, and its whole body is never shown. It has five extendable limbs, each one being made up of spheres, and a claw at the tip of every limb. Kroctopus does not have flexible limbs, and only moves them in a straight direction. As with other underwater enemies, [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] and [[Kiddy Kong]] cannot fight Kroctopus directly. Instead, during the battle, the [[Kong]]s must avoid being pinched by Kroctopus throughout the battle. Eventually, a purple bomb falls onto the stage, and the Kongs can injure Kroctopus by standing at the bomb and then jumping out the way as Kroctopus extends its arm toward it. Kroctopus is a large, green sea monster and the sixth boss in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 3. Kroctopus is the boss of Razor Ridge and is fought in the boss level, Kroctopus Krush. It replaces Barbos from the original version, whose boss level was relocated to Pacifica.
