Wrinkly's Retreat is an underground shrine where Wrinkly Kong resides in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! There is only one Wrinkly's Retreat in the entire game, and it is located in place of where Wrinkly's Save Cave was in the original game.
Wrinkly's Retreat is an shrine where Wrinkly Kong resides in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! It is where Wrinkly looks after the Banana Birds that were rescued by Dixie and Kiddy Kong. Wrinkly's Retreat replaces Wrinkly's Save Cave from the original version, as the player can save their game from the world map at any time. There is only one Wrinkly's Retreat, located in the main Northern Kremisphere map between Bazaar's General Store and Funky's Rentals. The rest of the Save Caves were replaced with Cranky's Dojo.

As the Game Boy Advance version allows players to save their game at any point on the Northern Kremisphere map, the concept of Wrinkly's Save Cave had become null. While Cranky's Dojo took the place of most of Wrinkly's Save Caves, Wrinkly herself was confined to a single cave. At Wrinkly's Retreat, Wrinkly, having since retired from teaching at Kong Kollege, devotes all her time to looking after any Banana Birds that Dixie and Kiddy Kong rescue. Unlike in the Super Nintendo  version, Wrinkly will not spend her time sleeping, exercising, and playing on her N64. The pattern on the evil barrier is seen in the background.
Unlike here Save Cave, Wrinkly does not do much else, such as exercising, sleeping, or playing the Nintendo 64, although she does keep track of the Kongs' progress. The interior of Wrinkly's Retreat shows the pattern from the Queen Banana Bird's barrier on three sides of the wall and a small pool of water in the center. Each Banana Bird that the Kongs have rescued are shown moving around the place.

If the Kongs pay a visit to Wrinkly's Retreat, Wrinkly will alert them of their progress, and send them back on their way.
After obtaining every Banana Bird then returning to Wrinkly's Retreat, the Banana Birds fly out of Wrinkly's Retreat and carry the Kongs up with them to the Queen Banana Bird. This triggers a secret ending involving the Queen getting her revenge on Baron K. Roolenstein.

If the Kongs return to Wrinkly's Retreat after rescuing every last Banana Bird, the birds will take them to the Banana Bird Queen, whom they will free, so that she can finally get revenge on Baron K. Roolenstein.
