Not to be confused with Armadillo.

Armies are little armadillo enemies that are found in Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land. They attack by rolling into a ball and careening toward the Kongs. When an Army is rolled up, Diddy Kong must jump on it twice to defeat it, while Donkey Kong can get rid of it with a single jump. Army Dillo from Donkey Kong 64 is a giant Army, although the enemy species did not appear in the game.

An Army, purple in color, appears in the Club Nintendo comic "Donkey Kong Country". It is the first enemy in this comic to attack Donkey and Diddy Kong. Diddy defeats it by simply jumping on it. Like every enemy in the comic, the Army is able to speak.

Armies also make several small cameo appearances as enemies in the Game Boy Color game Conker's Pocket Tales.

An Army can be seen near the end of the trailer for the cancelled game, Donkey Kong Racing. It is possible that an Army could have been one of the game's rideable creatures as other enemy species, such as Zingers were seen to be rideable.
