Tundra Blunda is the seventeenth level in Donkey Kong Land III. Located in the east of Blackforest Plateau, in the snowy foothills of a mountain range, it is the fifth level in this area.
Tundra Blunda is the seventeenth level in Donkey Kong Land III. and the fifth level of Blackforest Plateau. As a snow-themed level, Tundra Blunda features an icy path and slopes. Like Lemguin Lunge from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Tundra Blunda features Lemguins, which spawn from the holes in the ground indefinitely then belly slide toward Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong. There are a few pits that the Kongs can go across by jumping from Niknaks. "Blunda" in the level's name is derived from "blunder", changed to rhyme with "tundra".

When the level begins, the Kongs head down a small slope to find the letter K. While walking down the pathway at this point, they spot numerous enemies, and also jump over a few snow-bound houses. After passing many Skiddas and Krimps, they make their way down another slope and cross a small gap. Shortly after that, they are greeted by the first group of Lemguins. The heroes have to dodge the penguin-like enemies and head over a snow capped house. Once they pass a small gap, they need to make their way up the path, getting over a few small chasms and hopping over some house tops. Eventually, they pass a second tribe of Lemguins to find the Star Barrel.

To complete this level, Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong must cross a large snowfield, home to several tribes of Lemguins. Indeed, these sharp-billed penguins have dug many holes in the tundra, from which they leap out to attack the Kongs. In addition, Dixie and Kiddy have to face gangs of Skiddas and Krimps. Other enemies, Knockas, are also especially dangerous in this level, since the icy, slippery ground allows them to knock the Kongs back farther than in other areas. Knik-Knaks also populate this snowfield.
About halfway through the level, the group has to cross a large gap by bouncing on some Niknaks, and then avoid more Lemguins. Shortly after that, they are up to the challenge of passing two Knockas and then jumping over small alcoves in the ground. One of these alcoves hsd the letter N in it. At that point, they bounce on some more Niknaks to cross another abyss and avoid yet another Lemguin tribe. Walking down a small slope takes the Kongs to the area with the letter G, where they have to head up another small slope and jump over some more Lemguins. After traveling over a rather plain path for a while, they can find a flagpole. One touch of the pole ends the level.

Noticeably, Tundra Blunda is this game's equivalent to Lemguin Lunge from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.

Layout[edit]
