Kiddy Kong doing a Water Skip in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
Kiddy performing the Water Skip

Water Skipping[1] is an ability exclusively performed by Kiddy Kong in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! This ability allows him to bounce on water, which is effective for reaching far or higher areas that the Kongs cannot reach themselves. This ability is required to reach a Bonus Level in Tidal Trouble and Riverside Race.

In the original version, the player must press Y Button to make Kiddy roll onto a body of water, and just before he hits the water, the player must press B Button, which causes Kiddy to bounce. Kiddy can bounce twice in a row, with the second one being higher than the first. In the Game Boy Advance version, the player must press B Button to roll and then A Button to bounce on the water.
