Although visiting Blunder is completely optional for [[Dixie Kong]] and [[Kiddy Kong]], he accidentally reveals to them that the Lost World does exist, but doesn't tell them how to find it. However, as the Kongs progress throughout their journey, he slowly reveals clues about how to find the Lost World. Once the Kongs defeat [[King K. Rool|Baron K. Blunder has the appearance of an ordinary, brown-furred Brothers Bear; he only wears a red bow attached to a yellow necklace (or a red necklace in the [[Dixie Kong's Photo Album]] photograph). In the [[Game Boy Advance]] port, Blunder was redesigned to have the appearance of a librarian, sporting a pair of glasses and an orange coat. As a result, his location was redesigned as a library.

Once the Kongs reveal the Lost World, also known as [[Krematoa]], Blunder says it is no big deal that they found it and gives the credit to himself for helping the Kongs find it. However, if the [[Kong]]s manage to find it without his help, he assumes that the Kongs looked it up in the Player's Guide, and confesses that he did himself. This is an act of breaking the [[fourth wall]].

Template:Character-infobox Blunder is a member of the Brothers Bear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! He is located in his booth in the Northern Kremisphere world map, to the west of Kremwood Forest. His name refers to the act of blundering, as Blunder unintentionally reveals information about the Lost World. Unlike most of the other Brothers Bears, Blunder does not have any item that he trades to the Kongs, and he simply only reveals information regarding the Lost World, Krematoa.

Appearance

Blunder has the appearance of an ordinary, brown-furred Brothers Bear; he only wears a red bow attached to a yellow necklace (or a red necklace in the Dixie Kong's Photo Album photograph). In the Game Boy Advance port, Blunder was redesigned to have the appearance of a librarian, sporting a pair of glasses and an orange coat. As a result, his location was redesigned as a library.

History

Given that Blunder only provides hints and clues to Dixie and Kiddy Kong, they are not required to visit him on their journey. Blunder is slightly arrogant and acts as if he is smarter than the Kongs. Early in their adventure, Blunder reveals to the Kongs about the Lost World's existence but does not tell them how to find it. As the Kongs go farther into their adventure, Blunder slowly reveals more details regarding the Lost World, Krematoa. When Dixie and Kiddy defeat Baron K. Roolenstein at Kastle KAOS, the Kongs can directly receive information from Blunder on where the Lost World is, stating if they "ever think of circling the rocks".

When the Kongs reveal the Lost World (later revealed to be Krematoa), Blunder believes it to be no big deal and credits himself for helping them find it. If the Kongs manage to find Krematoa without talking to Blunder, he breaks the fourth wall, assuming that the Kongs used the Nintendo Player's Guide, which Blunder confesses to have done so himself.
