A Chomps Jr. next to a "Z" letter in the Game Boy Color version of Donkey Kong Country.

A Chomps Jr. is a small shark-like creature encountered in the games Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land.

Chomps Jr. are smaller, though none-the-less dangerous versions of Chomps. Like a regular Chomps, a Chomps Jr. will attack either Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong by swimming into them and biting down on them. A Chomps Jr. can be defeated with aid from the Kongs swordfish ally Enguarde.

Chomps Jr., along with Chomps, appear in the trailer for the apparently canceled game Donkey Kong Racing. This trailer cameo sparked rumors that Chomps Jr. along with Chomps may have been rideable in the game.
