Unfortunately for Diddy and Dixie, this was not the end of Krow. After traveling through the phantom infested area, [[Gloomy Gulch]], Diddy and Dixie came upon what appeared to be a dilapidated crow's nest. Venturing onto this structure, the Kongs encountered the ghost of Krow. This time, "Kreepy Krow" would send a barrage of ghostly Mini-Neckies against the Kongs, who must avoid these spectral birds and jump on the sole living Mini-Necky deployed by Krow. This will summon a [[barrel]] which the Kongs can hit Krow with, causing him to fly upward.

Like the previous battle with Krow, the Kongs can hit Kreppy Krow with the barrel to attack him, causing him to advance higher into his spooky nest.

After this, a hook will drop nearby, and the Kongs must use this hook to reach some rigging. After climbing the rigging and dodging eggs thrown at them, the Kongs will reach the platform where Krow awaited them. The phantom vulture will once again send a barrage of ghostly Mini-Neckies at the Kongs, but this time the speed and number of Mini-Neckies increases. The Kongs must once again jump on the living Mini-Necky to make a barrel appear which they can throw at Krow.
After this, a hook will drop nearby, and the Kongs must use these hook to climb ropes in order to reach the higher area where Kreepy Krow is located. Krow will then begin to throw eggs at the Kongs to try to attack them, and the Kongs must dodge the eggs and jump in a barrel nearby to reach Kreepy Krow. he will then again send a barrage of ghostly Mini-Neckies at the Kongs, but this time Kreepy Krow will send out more ghostly Mini-Neckies and quicker. The Kongs must once again jump on the living Mini-Necky to summon a barrel again to attack Kreepy Krow row, causing him to fly upwards again.

After being hit by this barrel Krow will once again fly upwards and the Kongs must follow; and after dodging numerous eggs, they reach the top of this exceedingly tall crow's nest. Here, Krow sends another barrage of ghosts after the Kongs, who defeat the living Mini-Necky and throw the resulting barrel at the ghostly vulture, defeating Krow once and for all.
Hooks will then once again once again appear to allow the Kongs to climb the rope. The eggs Kreepy Krow sends down will this time become quicker than usual and the Kongs must evade the eggs quicker to jump into a barrel in order to reach the top of Kreepy Krow's exceedingly tall nest. When the Kongs reach Kreepy Krow for the third time, it will send a barrage of Mini-Neckies quickly and making them more numerous so the Kongs must evade the ghost Mini-Neckies quickly until the final living Mini-Necky comes out on which the Kongs must jump on to summon a barrel for the third time. They must hit Kreepy Krow with the barrel for a third time to defeat Krow for a second time and for good. He will surrender his other [[Kremkoin]] he has and the Kongs will be able to go to [[K. Rool's Keep]].

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest

After Diddy and Dixie Kong ventured through the rapidly decaying ship, Gangplank Galleon, they manage to reach the ship's crow's nest, where they encountered Krow. Krow's most commonly used tactic is to pick up one of his eggs and hurl it at Diddy and Dixie. He will also bang into his nest to make eggs fall from his nest.

Krow's careless use of his eggs as weapons will prove to be his undoing, as the Kongs can grab an egg that Krow throws once it stops bouncing and throw it back at him to attack. After being hit multiple times, Krow will become disoriented and begin to bash into his nest, flinging eggs everywhere. Diddy and Dixie must avoid these falling eggs and grab the ones that hit the ground and stop bouncing and hurl them at Krow, who becomes even more erratic. After being hit by a few more eggs Krow will collapse, surrender the Kremkoin he was guarding, and die. In the Game Boy Advance remake, the Kongs can see a short cutscene of Krow turning into Kreepy Krow after they defeat him and the Kongs will then later fight him in Gloomy Gulch.

After the Kongs travel throughout the spooky Gloomy Gulch, They will go to Kreepy Krow's nest. Venturing onto this structure, the Kongs will encounter Krow got renamed "Kreepy Krow", due to his death. This time, Kreepy Krow will send out a barrage of ghost Mini-Neckies to attack the Kongs, who must avoid these spectral birds and jump on the alive Mini-Necky deployed by Krow to summon a barrel from the sky. Like the previous battle with Krow, the Kongs can hit Kreppy Krow with the barrel to attack him, causing him to advance higher into his spooky nest.

They must hit Kreepy Krow with the barrel for a third time to defeat Krow for a second time and for good. He will surrender his other Kremkoin he has and the Kongs will be able to go to K. Rool's Keep.

Donkey Kong Land 2

In Donkey Kong Land 2, Krow inexplicably appeared as the living boss of Gangplank Galleon, and also reprises his role as Kreepy Krow of Gloomy Gulch. Whether this is the same Krow as the one in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest or is simply another Krow is unknown.

Trivia

  • In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2, a short animation of Krow's spirit leaving his body can be seen after he is defeated for the first time.
  • Krow is the only boss (besides King K. Rool and KAOS) in the entire Donkey Kong Country series to be fought more than once in the same game.
  • Despite Krow's name being a word play on "crow", Krow seems to be more related to vultures rather then actual crows.
