Stronghold Showdown is a straight path level in the Super Nintendo version of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and Donkey Kong Land 2. This level is a boss battle with Kerozene in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2.
Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) and Donkey Kong Land 2
Stronghold Showdown is simply a room with Donkey Kong tied up in rope being taken to the ship. Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong will celebrate briefly before Donkey Kong gets taken away. From here, they can go straight to The Flying Krock.
Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA)
In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2, Diddy and Dixie will briefly encounter Kaptain K. Rool. He makes a comment, "You didn't think it'd be that easy, did you? Let's see of you can get past Kerozene!", and Kerozene appears. This boss attacks Diddy and Dixie with two miniature Kleevers at first. They can be defeated by a Kannonball being thrown at them. Afterwards, Kerozene's face will start to glow and he will start to blow fire; the Kongs must throw a Kannonball in Kerozene's face to damage him. Next, Kerozene will bang on the ground with his mighty fists and the Kongs must hit him with a Kannonball one final time to defeat him. The heroes will be rewarded a Kremkoin and can advance to The Flying Krock.
