The Giant Spider[1] (alternatively known as Spider in the official BradyGames guide[2]) is a giant one-eyed spider mini-boss in the area Fungi Forest in Donkey Kong 64. The spider is fought by Tiny Kong. It attacks by sending smaller spiders toward Tiny and also by shooting webbing that either temporarily reverses the game's controls or freezes Tiny. Tiny can damage the spider by hitting its open eye with her feather bow. After being hit multiple times, the spider will fall to the ground, shrink into a Small Spider and try to charge into Tiny, though it can be defeated like a normal Small Spider. After the Giant Spider is defeated, a Golden Banana will appear before Tiny.
