Mecha-Zingers are found exclusively in the area [[Frantic Factory]] as common enemies. Mecha-Zingers, like normal Zingers will attack the [[kong]]s by dropping unripe green [[Orange Grenade]]s on them. Mecha-Zingers are also slightly more durable than their organic counterparts, capable of withstanding two shots from a weapon instead of one; the the first shot does cause them to fly iratically and start smoking.

Mecha-Zingers unlike normal Zingers do not attempt to dive-bomb the kongs. Mecha-Zingers do not have wings, instead they have propellers like a helicopter.

Mechanical Zingers[1] are purple-and-yellow striped robotic Zingers and enemies in Donkey Kong 64. Mechanical Zingers sport a propeller on their head, allowing them to stay airborne, and have a pair of small wheels for feet. Mechanical Zingers appear only in Frantic Factory, where they are present throughout, and briefly in one of Lanky Kong's Hideout Helm challenges, where three Mechanical Zingers have to be shot down. Mechanical Zingers try to attack the Kongs by dropping unripened, green oranges out of a hatch on their undersides, similarly to Zingers, though unlike them, Mechanical Zingers do not attempt to dive-bomb at the player character. Mechanical Zingers are slightly more durable than normal Zingers: Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong need two hits to defeat them, while Lanky Kong and Tiny Kong need three. Mechanical Zingers can be defeated instantly from Chunky Kong blasting a pineapple at them, or from either an orange or a Kong's musical instrument move. After being hit by any Kong other than Chunky, a Mechanical Zinger will fly erratically and start smoking, though this does not defeat them. The proper indicator for when a Mechanical Zinger is defeated is when it spews thick black smoke while descending.
