In Donkey Kong Country Returns Snaps are mostly featured in the levels of the Beach world, but they also appear in the Ruins level, Mast Blast, and in the Cliff level, Tippy Shippy. Snaps move from side to side and can only hurt Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong if they come in contact with them. They also have a tendency to chase the Kongs, changing direction towards them when avoided. Snaps can be defeated with a jump, a roll attack or by throwing a barrel at them.
