Snaggles[1][2][3] are enemies that appear in several Donkey Kong Country games, starting with Donkey Kong Country Returns. They resemble chubby great white sharks and come in two distinct colors: gray and yellow.

Gray Snaggles stick their heads out of water for a few seconds before jumping in the air in an attempt to eat Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. However, Yellow Snaggles occasionally strike without warning, and jump out of the water immediately. While they attack, Snaggles bark playfully, similarly to a small dog. Snaggles appear in the Beach area and in the Ruins level Damp Dungeon, where a Mega Snaggles also appears. The only way to defeat a Snaggles is by tossing a barrel at it.

In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Snaggles, as well as Yellow Snaggles, chase the Kongs if they are underwater.
