Kremlantis is a large, semi-submerged island and the second area ventured through in the game Donkey Kong Land.

While the small portion of Kremlantis that is above the surface is rather small and bleak, what is below the surface is truly amazing. On the submerged portion of Kremlantis is an architectual wonder, a large series of ruins and temples constructed in a labyrinth-like manner. Along with the various temples on Kremlantis, there are other eye-catchers, such as a statue depicting a a giant-sized Clambo, large feilds of seaweed can also be found in Kremlantis.

Due to the fact that the area is completely underwater, aquatic enemies, such as Chomps, Fangfish and Nemoes are found in large abundance in Kremlantis. The boss of Kremlantis, conjecturely named Colossal Clambo, is found in the eastern quadrant of Kremlantis; as the name would imply, Colossal Clambo is a giant Clambo.

Due to the fact that the area is named Kremlantis, it is possible that Kremlantis is in actuality nearer to Crocodile Isle, home of the Kremlings, than it is too Donkey Kong Island.

Trivia

  • The name Kremlantis is obviously derived from Atlantis, a legendary and ancient sunken city.
