Template:Species-infobox Hogwashes are a species of flying pigs that appear only in the game Donkey Kong Land. Hogwashes are notable for being one of the few enemies who appeared in the Donkey Kong Land series but not the Donkey Kong Country series.
Descripiton
In the game, Hogwashes were used by the Kremling Krew during their re-conquest of Donkey Kong Island. Hogwashes were basic air-grunts, roaming the skies for intruders. They normally flew back and forth or in one direction. However, a Hogwash was not a real threat, because one simple Jump attack on top of it defeats it. Ever since Donkey Kong Land, Hogwashes have not yet made a reappearance.

Naming
Hogwashes' names comes from the word hogwash, meaning nonsense or bunk. In addition, the term "when pigs fly" refers to an event that could never possibly happen. Put these two terms together and one gets Hogwash, a flying pig.
