Dozies resemble the now extinct dodo birds from real life. They are purple and small yet haughty, as evidenced by their walking style. Dozies wear swim tubes arund their rather thin necks, the former being seemingly smaller even than their heads. These bird-like creatures have exaggeratedly large, curved beaks, with a tiny lower jaw. They always seem relaxed, as suggested by the careless looks in their eyes and their default speed of walking, which is quite reduced. Their head plumage, as well as their wing and rear plumage, is composed of feathers whose edges are colored orange. The feathers on their rears are arranged like hand fans.
Dozies are generic enemies that do not actively attack the Kongs. Their behaviors are comparable to Awks from Donkey Kong Country Returns, as Dozies walk back and forth, but peck and injure the Kongs upon simply bumping with them, draining one of their heart points. The player can defeat a Dozy using any means of attack, such as a jump, a Roll Attack, or by throwing an object, such as a barrel. A Ground Pound can stun them for a brief moment if the Kongs stand close enough to them. They can also be stunned if shot by Diddy, Dixie, or Cranky's popguns.

References
Dozies are generic enemies that apparently do not show any interest in hurting the Kongs. They only stroll back and forth, but are still dangerous to the heroes if they come too close to them, thus being technically similar to the Goombas from the 2D Mario games. On the other hand, they have much more aggressive counterparts called Sour Dodos.

It is possible for the player to defeat a Dozy by any method of combat. A stomp on their heads, a swift roll attack on either of their sides, or a carriable object thrown at them is effective against Dozies. A ground pound can potentially stun them if the Kongs are close enough.

Dozies[1] are uncommon enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. They appear in many areas of the Lost Mangroves, although a flock of Dozies and Sour Dodos can be spotted relaxing on a small isle in the background of Mangrove Cove. Dozies resemble small, pink dodo birds that don a swim tube around their necks. Their head plumage, as well as their wing and rear plumage, is composed of feathers with orange-colored edges. They also have indigo-colored feet. They have a more aggressive counterpart called the Sour Dodo.
