Swirlwinds are not like ordinary obstacles from the game. These objects begin to move as soon as the Kongs jump on them. They will continue to follow the Kongs throughout the level, until it falls into a hole or abyss. With Swirlwinds, the Kongs can collect items high in the air, and even get into [[Bonus Level]]s with their aid. They can also reach high ledges or ropes with these special tires. Although Swirlwinds help the Kongs, they can also damage them. If one of the heroes touch the side of them, they'll get damaged easily. They may also cause the Kongs to fall in an abyss if they aren't careful when it drops down.
