Stormy Shore

Template:Level Stormy Shore is the twelfth level of Donkey Kong Country Returns. It is also the fifth area of the Beach world.

Stormy Shore introduces Squiddicus, a huge octopus that first appears in the background. Throughout much of the level, the Kongs have to dodge Squiddicus, who sticks its tentacles in front of the primates and tries to knock them into the water. Since the heroes cannot swim, it is vital for them to stay on the floating platforms for the whole level. However, this can be rather tricky, as the weather is very stormy and the water causes the platforms to constantly move as they float on it. Other than Sqiddicus, the enemies in this level include electric jellyfish enemies, crabs, and squids.

Overview

Donkey Kong starts the level on a beach. As he progresses, he will come to a pier and more beach with crabs that goes into a cave with a large statue of Squiddicus in front of it. Immediately, he is attacked by jellyfish. Right after the second jellyfish, there is grass on the wall they can use to climb up the walls.
 After they climb up to the cliff, they are attacked by a crab and squid shots. After they get to the halfway mark, they exit the cave where they wittness  Squiddicus sinking a ship in the background. After they jump across pieces of shipwreck, they come to a beach with a wooden walkway. After they blast from a cannon barrel and jump onto a large piece of shipwreck, Squiddicus uses his tentacles to destroy them. They then enter another cave and are attacked by three crabs. After they pass another halfway mark, Squiddicus appears in the background and uses his tentacles as obstacles.
After climbing up another grassy wall while evading two more tentacles, Squiddicus appears again. After jumping over his tentacles, they find another grassy wall to climb down with two more tentacles. After they are attacked by three crabs, Squiddicus once again appears using his tentacles. Fortunately, they had a grassy ceiling to climb across.
After jumping off a large piece of shipwreck, they emerge inside a huge cavern. After jumping onto a piece of shipwreck, Squiddicus appears 

again. They use the grass on the floating mast to get to another piece of shipwreck and a piece of land where a checkpoint is.

After they emerge from the cave, Squiddicus appears then quickly dives. After they jump across more shipwreck, they find a cannon barrel. After they get in, Squiddicus appears one final time with the Slot Machine barrrel above his head. Donkey Kong must shoot quickly before a tentacle destroys the barrel to claim his prize.
