The Stompybot 3000 is the seventh boss of Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. It is the boss of the Factory area and is fought in the level Feather Fiend. The Stompybot 3000, controlled by Colonel Pluck, is seen stomping on bananas from Donkey Kong's banana hoard. When Cordian hypnotizes Colonel Pluck again to continue his job, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong jump onto the conveyor belt, kicking off the battle.

General information[edit]

Physical description[edit]

The Stompybot 3000 is a giant, white egg-shaped mecha-suit with a glass dome. On both sides, it has another egg-shaped structure with orange mechanical chicken feet. A giant clock with a red frame shaped like a C is found on the middle of his robot, likely standing for "Colonel Pluck". Directly attached to the underside of this mech is a set of sharp spikes.

Attacks[edit]

For the first phase, the Stompybot 3000 will walk around the stage. The duo must make their way under it to avoid damage. Occasionally, it will run across the screen quickly. Sometimes, Colonel Pluck will lift the bot into the air and then perform a ground pound on the ground. If the bot spins in the air while doing this, it will split open its legs and reveal green chains which Donkey Kong can grab onto. While the green chains are out, very rarely will Colonel Pluck try to trick the apes by just scratching the floor with his mechanical feet, which Donkey and Diddy Kong can not go under. If Donkey Kong takes too long to damage the robot, it will release some flames.

Combat[edit]

To defeat the Stompybot 3000, Donkey and Diddy need to wait until it shows its green chains. When it does that, Donkey Kong must grab onto it and start punching the Stompybot. After Donkey Kong does this three times, parts will break off, making it resemble a flying vehicle. Donkey Kong has to hit Colonel Pluck three other times at this point. Afterwards, Cordian will emerge, whom Donkey Kong then sends flying off into the distance.
