Template:Species-infobox The Skellirex[1][2] is an undead dinosaur-like enemy that first appeared in Donkey Kong Country Returns. These enemies are mostly found at the Cliff area of Donkey Kong Island, but they also appear in the level, Tumblin' Temple. Skellirexes mostly move around from left to right, usually posing a minimal threat to Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. When attacked using any kind of attack method, they will lose their bodies and detach their heads, which become a slightly larger version of Skullyrexes. These begin creeping on the ground aimlessly, rapidly chomping air. Attacking the lone Skellirex head will destroy it.
There are also some Skellirexes that ride on mine carts, which are found at Prehistoric Path. These Skellirexes can be taken out simply by jumping on them.
