Mimics are enemies appearing in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. They only show up in silhouette stages, such as Sunset Shore (DKCR/3D) or Busted Bayou (DKCTF); as such, they look like shadow bushes with legs and glowing yellow eyes. At first, Mimics stay in one place, pretending to be actual bushes and waiting to surprise their pray - in this case, the Kongs. After this, Mimics start chasing them, in an attempt to hurt them. These enemies can be taken out by a stomp or by rolling into them. Exclusively in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze exists a variation of Mimics called Big Mimics.
Trivia
- The noises they make are similar to Deku Scrubs from the The Legend of Zelda series.
