Template:Species-infobox Shroom Chomps are green carnivourous plants first seen in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns. Shroom Chomps are a green kind of Chomp that possess tongues resembling mushrooms. As with the other species of Chomps, Shroom Chomps first appear in the level King of Cling, in the Jungle.
Shroom Chomps constantly open and close their mouths, temporarily revealing their mushroom-like tongues. The Kongs can safely jump on their tongues, although they will take damage if they touch the Shroom Chomp while its mouth is closed. Shroom Chomps immediately close their mouths when the Kongs jump on their tongues.
