The Giant Clam can attack [[Donkey Kong]] or [[Diddy Kong]] by moving around and spitting pearls at them. He has a simple attack pattern, however, as he shoots the pearls from the opposite corner that the Kongs are in. In order to harm the giant boss, the Kongs must trick it into shooting its pearls at another nearby smaller Clambo, then quickly move out of the way before the pearl hits them. The pearls then bounce off this enemy and smash into the Giant Clam. After being hit several times, the Giant Clam begins to move faster and shoot pearls at a quicker pace. Despite this, Giant Clam can be defeated after a few more hits.

Donkey Kong fighting the Giant Clam in Seabed Showdown in Donkey Kong Land
Boss battle of Donkey Kong against Giant Clam

The Giant Clam[1] is a large Clambo and the second boss of Donkey Kong Land. It is the boss of Kremlantis, in the final location, Seabed Showdown. Unlike its unmoving brethren, the Giant Clam is perfectly capable of moving through the water.

During the boss battle, Giant Clam moves around and spits pearls at Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong. He spits them out from the opposite corner that the active Kong is in. To harm Giant Clam, DK or Diddy must trick it into firing pearls at a dormant Clambo in the corner, then dodge the approaching pearls. A pearl then ricochets into the Giant Clam and injures it.

After the Giant Clam is hit a few times, it moves faster and fires pearls more rapidly. The dormant clam also changes between corners in the battle. The active Kong is required to react quickly, especially because of the small area. The Giant Clam is defeated after eight hits, and the Kongs are awarded Banana Bunches.
