Chomp's Coliseum is one of the few levels to take place in the underwater ruins of Kremlantis. It is filled with the ape-eating enemies, [[Chomp]]s, who are almost as large as a [[Fangfish]]. Other than that, the stage is rather plain, with no unique obstacles or traps. Not only that, but it has no Bonus Levels at all, and is very short. Although this level is mostly populated by the dangerous Chomps, [[Snapper]]s and a normal fish enemy also appear to get in the Kongs' path. It should be noted that there are no [[Bonus Level]]s in Chomp's Coliseum. This level is not required to proceed through the game.

Template:Level Chomp's Coliseum is the fourteenth level of the classic Game Boy game, Donkey Kong Land. It is the fifth area that is located in Kremlantis, the second world of the game.

Chomp's Coliseum is one of the few levels to take place in the underwater ruins of Kremlantis. It is filled with the ape-eating enemies, Chomps, who are almost as large as a Fangfish. Other than that, the stage is rather plain, with no unique obstacles or traps. Not only that, but it has no Bonus Levels at all, and is very short. Although this level is mostly populated by the dangerous Chomps, Snappers and a normal fish enemy also appear to get in the Kongs' path. It should be noted that there are no Bonus Levels in Chomp's Coliseum. This level is not required to proceed through the game -- infact, completing it does not gain access to any further levels. The next stage is actually accessible after the previous stage.

Level Layout

From the start of the level, the heroes must swim east and watch out for some Chomps. They will come up to some bananas in the formation of the letters DK, which they should collect and move on. They will swim past a few more fish and have to sneak around some Snappers shooting up through the water. The Kongs must continue east, and travel between several generic fish enemies, as they swim through the ancient ruins. Soon, they will come up to the checkpoint, marking the halfway point in the level.

From there, Donkey and Diddy Kong must keep going east as they journey through the coliseum, and watch out for more fish and Snappers. After they get under a pair of Snappers, they will have to maneuver around several more fish, and later encounter another Chomp. They foe is alone, though, and can easily be avoided. The monkeys should travel a little farther to reveal the letter G surrounded by many bananas. They should collect the well-deserved items and swim up a little farther through the level, where the Kongs must squeeze between two fish. Once they pass these foes, the monkeys will see a portal. When they get into it, they will be transported out of the level.
