Char-Char
Template:Species-infobox Char-chars are enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. They take the appearance of spherical fireballs, and can only be found in the Volcano world, where they appear as a recurring enemy.
Regular Char-chars display a face with a menacing grin and attack by bouncing on platforms, being harmful if touched directly. However, if the Kongs blow air on one or use a barrel against it, the enemy will instantly disintegrate. Faceless Char-chars can be encountered as well[1], and may behave differently. Some either pop out of the lava, revolve in mid-air, or simply fly in a staggered manner. Unlike the regular type, these Char-chars cannot be defeated with an air blow. However, barrels are effective against all Char-chars.
