Puzzle Pieces are items appearing in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns. As their name implies, these objects are shiny, orange, curved puzzle pieces. There are various numbers of them hidden throughout every single level, except for boss levels. There are either, 5, 7, or 9 puzzle pieces in each level. Puzzle Pieces are usually not easy to find and require some careful planning and surveillance if the player wants to seek them all out. Puzzle Pieces are also obtained after the player collects every single Banana, Banana Coin, and/or Extra Life Balloon in a Bonus Level. Every time all Puzzle Pieces are collected in a level, the Image Gallery will be updated with one photo.
If the player collects all the Puzzle Pieces it will show up as the certain fruit and then turns into a silver Puzzle Piece.
