Template:Species-infobox Kowalees are uncommon types of enemy that appear in the Wii game, Donkey Kong Country Returns. They appear as large purple Koala enemies in flying carriages similar to the Koopa Clown Car. They only appear in the level Golden Temple. Here, Kowalees occasionally fly into the Kongs' way, throwing an unlimited supply of bombs at them, similar to Lakitus from the Mario series. They are bigger than the heroes, so they cannot easily be passed; Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong must defeat them to progress safely if they get in their way. If they pick up the bombs of any Kowalee and throw it at them, the foe can be defeated.
