Template:Levelbox Punch Bowl is the boss level of Juicy Jungle in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port of the same name, where the Kongs fight Bashmaster.

Layout

The level begins outside a processing plant with vines and fruit. After that, there is a DK Barrel at the end of a platform. The Kongs can later get launched to a wide wooden tube where some juice flows via a Barrel Cannon. A cutscene will trigger, showing the Kongs interrupting Bashmaster by shaking his ice platform after being shot out, which also causes his popsicle to be engulfed by a school of Punch Piranhas, triggering a fight.

For the fight, the Kongs and Bashmaster are standing on an ice platform that tilts around whenever the latter jumps. Bashmaster can thrust his hammer in front of him as an attack, which causes it to get stuck in the ice if it misses the Kongs, giving them a chance to jump on his head, knocking him into a juice pool. When he jumps back, the platform shakes and ice cubes fall from the sky. As each cube falls, Bashmaster lightly kicks it towards the Kongs. Some of these contain items like Banana Coins or Watermelon Fuse Bombs, which can be obtained by ground-pounding the ice cubes. After this segment, Bashmaster will walk towards the Kongs protected in front. Though after taking a couple of steps, Bashmaster will repeat his first attack, allowing him to be hit again. He can also be hit by throwing a Watermelon Fuse Bomb at him. After being hit a second time, Bashmaster will repeat his second attack, though this time he will shake the ground twice before sending ice cubes at the player. After the first three hits, Bashmaster's fur turns light purple due to the juice.

In the second phase, ice blocks will automatically fall from above, forming walls. Bashmaster will then charge through them, proceeding to slide on his rear about halfway across. At the edge of the platform, he will end up dizzy, allowing him to be hit again. Afterwards, Bashmaster will jump a few times, though now it creates shockwaves whenever he lands. After this, his first attack for this phase will be repeated, though he now crosses the platform a second time before becoming dazed.

In the third and final phase, Bashmaster's fur will turn a darker shade of purple. He then begins to kick ice cubes at the player and he also jumps high in the air. Bashmaster then repeatedly charges up hammer swings to knock the incoming ice cubes at the player at a much higher velocity. Once hit, the cubes will become spiked, and unsafe to touch. On the last ice cube, he will hesitate to hit it, which can mess up the Kongs' timing. After this, he will thrust his hammer down like in the beginning. After being knocked off, he climbs back onto the platform, and he continues to kick ice cubes at the player. After being hit during this part, Bashmaster is defeated.
