A leather sash with the Snowmad symbol is wrapped around their body. Pufftons act similarly to the Tiki Torks from Donkey Kong Country Returns and its Nintendo 3DS port. There are stronger versions called Tufftons.

Pufftons do not attack the Kongs, but simply fly in place. If the Kongs simply touch one, they get damaged and lose one heart point. Pufftons can be defeated by jumping on them three times, rolling into them the same amount of times, or by throwing another enemy or barrel at them.
