Hot Hootz are usually stationary and do not fly around in set patterns like Hootz or Blue Hootz. They attack the Kongs by releasing a fireball in their direction. When engulfed in flames, Hot Hootz cannot be jumped on or rolled into. However, when a Hot Hootz throws a fireball, it loses its flames and is vulnerable to jump attacks for a short time. At anytime though, they can be attacked with a barrel or other throwable object.

Being first found in Swinger Flinger, Hot Hootz continue to appear in levels including Crumble Cavern, Sea Stack Attack, and others.
