Boom Birds are uncommon enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. They are red Tucks with a tuft of yellow feathers on their heads and wear a belt around their waists. They always carry around Watermelon Fuse Bombs with them.
Boom Birds usually walk back and forth with a Watermelon Fuse Bomb on their back. Once the Kongs defeat a Boom Bird, the bomb drops and activates. In some levels, Boom Birds appear in the background, where they throw an unlimited supply of Watermelon Fuse Bombs at the Kongs.
