Template:DKClevelbox Elevator Antics is the twenty-fifth level of the popular game in the Donkey Kong series, Donkey Kong Country. It is also the third level of the Kremkroc Industries, Inc. area. In the Game Boy Advance remake of the game, Elevator Antics is the twenty-sixth level, as well as the fourth area of Kremkroc Industries, Inc. (having switched places with Poison Pond).

Taking place in a long cave, the heroes have to climb up and down ropes in this level, facing Slippas, Zingers, Mini Neckies, and Oil Drums on the way. Throughout much of the level, the Kongs also have to navigate on and jump along small elevators filled with large amounts of coal to reach higher areas and cross abysses. Commonly in this level, they have to jump along each elevator to cross wide abysses and also avoid many Klumps along the way. This level, because of the elevators, is very similar to the third level of the Donkey Kong arcade game, which also features elevators as the main obstacle.

At the beginning of the level, the Kongs will be perched on a large platform. Jumping off of it, they should head east and defeat a few Mini Neckies and Slippas. After crossing a small gap, they will have to crawl under two small walls and climb up the lone rope above them. Greeted by a Mini Necky, the monkeys will need to head more eastward and jump over an Oil Drum, filled with Slippas, to reach a set of three ropes. Once they jump across each rope, they will have to crawl under another wall to find a Zinger. Going under it, the Kongs will come up to another wall to climb under, as well as a small chamber of Zingers to get around. They will have to sneak under a third wall after that, and then grab onto some more ropes to cross a large abyss. If they can get to each one without hitting into any Zingers, flying up and down, they will end up on a flat surface near a wall. They should crawl under it, as usual, and then grab onto a rope to cross a very, very small gap. If they go into this gap, they will find a DK Barrel. Farther on, the Kongs will need to get under yet another wall to find more ropes and more Zingers. They will have to carefully dodge the two fast Zingers as they hop along the four ropes. Once they get back on land, they will have to sneak under another two walls to find a rope. They should climb up on it and jump to the right to beat a Mini Necky. Right after that, they will find the Star Barrel.

Now Halfway through the level, the group will need to defeat a Klump on a low platform to find their fist set of elevators. They should make their way over an abyss with them, and then crawl under the next wall through a small space. There, they will have to beat a lone Mini Necky and jump along a few more elevators. Farther on, the animals will meet a couple of Klumps, walking down stair-like platforms. They should be defeated for the monkeys to reach the next elevator safely. Jumping over a Zinger, the two will get on this elevator. It will lead them to a higher ledge, where they will need to attack two Klumps and follow a banana trail downwards. This trail will guide them near the next set of elevators. The group should get on the few coal-filled elevators and make it to a longer path, where a Klump can be found.

Beating the foe, the Kongs will have to hop onto more elevators, trying not to be pulled into the Zingers above them. After this, the apes should knock out another lone Mini Necky and jump over a Zinger to land on the next elevator. It will help them reach the next area, where they will have to walk up to a lone elevator and ride down. When it reaches the bottom of the screen, the monkeys should quickly jump to the elevator row to the right and ride upwards. When this elevator carries the heroes all the way at to its highest point, they will have to jump over a Zinger and land on the next row of elevators. Riding down another elevator, they will need to wait under they see the next elevator moving upwards, and jump to it. This elevator will take them to a small area with a tire. If they bounce on it, they will land in front of a Mini Necky. Quickly, they should defeat the bird and cross a small gap after it with some more elevators. Farther on, the group will find the level's exit.

K-O-N-G Letters

  • K: A rope hangs above the first group of Slippas in the level that the Kongs can climb up to find a few other ropes with the letter K around them.
  • O: The letter O is located in the second Bonus Level between two Barrel Cannons.
  • N: If the primates ride down the first elevator in the second set of elevators from the Star Barrel, they can find the letter N on a small ledge.
  • G: Near the end of the level before a Necky, the Kongs can find a sign indicating that the level is almost over. The level G hovers above it.

Bonus Levels

  • At the very beginning of the level, the Kongs must make a super-jump to the right to reach a rope over the area. They should climb it up to reach an opening, leading to the Bonus Level. There, the Kongs need to hit four barrels so that the K-O-N-G Letters displayed on them all spell out "Kong," in the correct order. If this is done correctly, the heroes are awarded and then exit the special stage. If they fail to spell out the word, they are forced out of the stage without a prize.
  • After crawling under three walls near the beginning of the level, the heroes enter an open area with a few ropes, all guarded by Zingers. The primates should avoid the foes and climb to the top of the last rope. There, they need to hop to the right to enter a hidden area at the top of the screen. If they continue east from here, they reach a Barrel Cannon that shoots them to a Bonus Level, where they have to shot through several spinning barrels to collect some special items, including the letter O, an Animal Token, and a green Extra Life Balloon. Once this is done, the Kongs can exit the bonus through an exit in the right side of the area.
  • When the Kongs begin to go down the last elevator in the level, they have to stand on it and not jump to the ledge nearby. After they reach the bottom of the screen, they can discover an entryway. Walking into it will takes them to a Bonus Level. There, they need to shoot upwards through a barrel to collect many bananas. If they miss the barrel upon trying to land, the special level ends.
