(Removed irrelevant info about K. Rool getting attacked by sharks at the end of the game. Has nothing to do with the location.)

“Yet another Kremling Galleon has sunk here in Krem Quay. Once the port of Crocodile Isle (as if anyone would really want to visit), the place is now a swamp, crawling with rats and other vile vermin. Some of the underwater action here is particularly gloomy, so you'll need a friend with a light to show you the way.”
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest instruction booklet, page 21

Krem Quay is one of the many locations visited by Diddy and Dixie Kong in their quest to rescue Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Krem Quay is ruled by the powerful Kudgel. This world appears to once have been the main port of Crocodile Isle, but is now a murky swamp. The quay is infested with a large amount of bramble vines and the remains of a large ship originally owned by King K. Rool,[1] ripped in half and found submerged in the swamp; the water is also extremely polluted. In order for the Kongs to navigate their way through it, they need the help of Glimmer the Angler Fish. Shortly after beating Kaptain K. Rool the first time around, he falls into Krem Quay and also gets chomped on by sharks. At the end of the game, Krem Quay, along with the rest of Crocodile Isle, sank to the bottom of the ocean.

In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Krem Quay is located on the left side of Crocodile Isle instead of the right. It is also set on the stairs leading to Krazy Kremland, since the sunken ship and dock in front of said stairs is missing.

Level Description
Barrel Bayou
Barrel Bayou
Barrel Bayou is the introductory level to Krem Quay, showcasing the swamp environment. Early into the level, a rotatable barrel can be found. The timer on the barrel indicates how much time is remaining until the barrel must be shot, and in that time players can aim the barrel. If the player does not shoot the Kong they are controlling before time runs out, the Kong will automatically leave the barrel. Various parts of the level consist of manually needing to aim the barrel and fire it so the Kongs will land in the next barrel in order to advance. This task is fairly easy at first, though a few parts possess the difficulty of segments from Donkey Kong Country's Barrel Cannon Canyon.
Glimmer's Galleon
Glimmer's Galleon
As the title suggests, this level takes place in a large, sunken galleon. The area is poorly lit, and most areas are barely visible, so Glimmer lights up the area with a flashlight in its rod. The path to Glimmer is marked by a the trail of bananas. Glimmer is a very valuable asset, as his light will provide a great guide through the sunken ship. Bananas in arrow formations will also lead the Kongs the right way.
Krockhead Klamber
Krockhead Klamber
On the level map, this level is shown to take place right in the middle of the swamp. Apparently taking place during mid-day, this swamp level focuses much more on climbing on cattails that have grown above the swamp's water, and jumping from platform to platform. There is not much ground, and some areas require Kongs to time their jumps and landing precisely so they do not collide with Kaboings or Zingers. Krockheads will also provide help by acting as makeshift platforms, though they do not stay forever.
Rattle Battle
Rattle Battle
This level takes place on a floating galleon, with a remixed theme of Gangplank Galleon (K. Rool's theme from Donkey Kong Country). Rattly the Rattlesnake appears in an animal barrel early in the level to be playable through the level. Kannons, Kaboings, and Zingers that Rattly can jump on are found throughout the rather long level. The main aspect of the level is to take advantage of Rattly's ability to jump high and hop off enemies to get through the level.
Slime Climb
Slime Climb
Taking place on a sinking galleon at nighttime, Slime Climb is a level where Diddy and Dixie need to climb up the ship and avoid the Snapjaw below. If the heroes are too slow and find themselves swimming, the Snapjaw will swim for them and try to bite them. Given the fact that Snapjaw moves fast and is impervious to attack, the water should be avoided.
Diddy and Dixie shoot through barrels in Bramble Blast.
Bramble Blast
The level takes place in a giant area of brambles (supposedly in a higher area of a forest) with many Barrel Cannons that the Kongs must blast through in order to get through the level. Though there are only four angles of fire, if the angle is off, it usually leads directly into deadly brambles. At times this gets frustrating, though fans have said that the soothing music helps encourage continues.
Kudgel's Kontest from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
Boss level: Kudgel's Kontest
The area boss Kudgel is a gray color swap of Klubba, keeping the deadly club and presumably having a better jumping ability. Kudgel's Kontest holds the distinction of being the only level from Donkey Kong Country 2 that neither appears nor has an analogue in Donkey Kong Land 2.
